ST. JOHN CALABRIA VISITS US WITH HIS SHOES
The shoes have been chosen as the "first step" of our Itinerant Exhibition. They are not special shoes, but his normal shoes! They do not have who knows what thaumaturgical power, but they are a very strong symbol of the will to go far. Starting with the choice to wear them, or not... You can decide to sit comfortably on the sofa, and wear soft slippers, or get up and leave!
And leave... to go where? Yes, you also need a goal, to get moving, and St. John Calabria had that goal clear, it was the search for the Kingdom of God, before any other
reason.

ST. JOHN CALABRIA SPEAKS TO US WITH HIS SHOES
If they could talk, St. John Calabria's shoes would tell us about the solicitude with which they were worn by him, not simply because there was always so much to do, but because the message that had to arrive through those feet had no time to lose!
Not the "what" we were called to do on that day, but the "why"... And if the "why" was the answer to the call to be "living Gospels", well towards the meeting with the people who were waiting for that "good news" they had to run, in a hurry! Thanks to you, shoes, who have come down to us with the question "in which direction are you going today? Do you still have the same enthusiasm to meet people, for the knowledge that you are good news today?"
We will bring this question to meet our activities, our services, our mission, right here where we are, and feeling the toes moving inside our shoes, now (try!) We give thanks for the gift of our call to be here and now.
