In this Calabrian Jubilee Year, we want our Father John Calabria, through the Itinerant Exhibition "Soil & Blood", to visit all the “holy and blessed lands" in which the Charism that has been given to us through him is lived today!
All the territories in which the Opera is present today will be reached by this moving collection of relics to speak to us of the beauty of this call to be a "beacon of holiness" and will challenge us on our being even today "light for all souls to the ends of the earth".
In each place where the exhibition will stop, the whole Calabrian Family is invited to gather, planning the initiatives that will be deemed appropriate to involve, in addition to Brothers, Sisters and Laity who are the first recipients of this visit, also the Local Church and our partners in the activities of that territory, to share the profound meaning of this anniversary.
"Jubilee" is an expression that recalls joy, celebration, a moment of special grace that heals every debt to the past and invites us to turn our gaze to a future of blessings and promises that are fulfilled. What better perspective to truly "begin" with the goal of holiness, in the manner of St. John Calabria?
The relics, which we will welcome as a priceless gift, will pass from hand to hand, in our hands, until they complete the tour of the world, with the aim not to remember a past history, or to approach them almost in a magical way. The presence of such significant objects, on the other hand, must be a memorial for our present, and therefore a stimulus, an encouragement to make those choices today that project us towards a future that can only be oriented to the search for the Kingdom of God.
The "Jubilee-Book" contains instructions for preserving the precious relics you have received, and how to share the experience you will live
with the whole Calabrian Family. But above all you will find here a mine Jubilee-Book 4 of stimuli, writings, suggestions and proposals to build the most appropriate moments of encounter at each stage. Each Delegation received the mandate to organize the visit of the Itinerant Exhibition within its own territory, taking into account the realities present, deciding on the stages and timing of each stop.
Welcoming this visit means encountering the historical figure of St John Calabria, letting oneself be challenged by the radicality of his spirituality and being willing to let oneself be enlightened by the light of the Gospel, the only one that can make us once again and ever more "beacon of holiness".
